Stegosaurus goes about her day, forging for food, battling a T-Rex and greeting her new babies just hatched. One of the larger dinosaurs of the Jurassic Period, she uses her large, spiky tail and tough skin to protect herself.
At the end of the story there is additional information about the dinosaur, and the era in which it lived. All-in-all very educational, and easy for a youngster to understand. Very impressive.
With all Oceanhouse Media apps, everything on each page is tappable, with the word of the item shown and said out loud. In addition, one can tap a word in the story to hear it again, or double tap to hear the sentence again. There are many other creatures from the same time period within the story, so if you're having a, “It's called a what?” moment, having the ability to see and hear the names again is very handy. Words are highlighted as story is read. If you want to record and share your own rendition, they have you covered! The app is accompanied by great background music and sounds that one would expect in this time period. The artwork is fantastic!
