Definitely not a banal approach to the alphabet! Stephen Cody fits in lessons about the universe and galaxy in which we live in a fun, rhyming, A is for... type alphabet book. If barnyard animals and colors and other such cutesie items aren't doing it for your three year old, then go ahead and try this. It is free, after all.
The narration is enjoyable with a German voice over a little Professor Einstein looking character who travels with you throughout the galaxy and beyond. After completing the story there are plenty of activity pages available for coloring or drawing. The activities include mazes, crosswords and other types of engaging lesson plans. Do the activities in the app itself, or print them out! The illustrations are beautiful and funny. Overall it is a very entertaining app.
The application offers a read it myself option for more advanced students, or parents who enjoy reading to their children.
