Gravity App is a simulated space app that allows you to play with the laws of gravitational pull in relation to large bodies, such as suns, planets and moons. Using the app you can experiment with gravity in our own solar system, or in your own made up system of heavenly objects. It is very simple to use. Double tapping the screen instantly creates an object, which you can add as much, or as little, mass as you'd like. Creating objects near each other will show you a gravitational path of travel, or possibly an orbit. The simulation can then be played to show the outcome of your created system. The simulator is realistic, in that it automatically calculates for the user how masses and objects of specific sizes would interact with each other.
I would recommend this app to students learning about physics, gravity or other related subjects. It would give them something which shows these theoretical concepts that they would be learning, giving them the ability to visualize and thus apply the subject.
For teachers, I would recommend this app for your students to play with, or to show on a large projector how gravity works and how objects influence each other.
Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad.
