Jungle Time : learn how to tell time

Age Level: Ages 5-8
By Developer: Andrew Short

For those just learning, or needing some extra practice telling time, this is a great app. Selected as one of the top 10 educational apps for children, as well as a featured app by Apple, It's 5 levels include bright and engaging graphics that make learning how to tell time a fun experience.

The app comes with 2 games, Tell Time and Set Time. In Tell Time, the child converts the time shown on the clock to digital time by entering in the correct numbers. In Set Time, the child does the opposite, converts the digital time to the clock by moving the hands.

You can pick the animal of your choice that will be part of the display. It will roar, growl, or do the appropriate sound when an answer is correct. If the answer is wrong, it will look a bit sad and droopy. With 5 correct answers in a row there is a special congratulations to inspire your child and keep them “in the game”, working toward proficiency.

In the settings you will find many options to gear to each individual child. Start simply by choosing to work with whole hours and progress towards half, 5 minute and single minute choices. In addition there is "learning clock" for added help that can be chosen.

If using an iPad, there is the option to change the animal on the clock as well as the sounds with a tap.
