I don't know if your child will ever actually get a chance to enjoy this application, seeing as how you'll be playing with it constantly yourself. This little gem won a 2012 Editor's Choice Award from Children's Technology Review and received a rave review from iPhone Mom. It is a unique learning application that brings that complex subject of physics down to understandable levels for a child. The application houses basic principles of physics in easy to understand tutorials such as gravity, friction, etc.
Get a couple of these laws of nature under your belt and you are all set to invent the craziest, and most awesome, machines man or monster has ever seen. You can build them as complicated as you like, or as simply as you like. The machines follow the fundamental laws of nature, forcing the user to consider realistic difficulties posed in the engineering process. The fulcrum, levers, gravity, weight considerations, motors, etc. all come into the equation.
In addition to fulfilling your creative needs, the application comes with 50 missions to be solved using various devices and putting your knowledge of mechanics to the test. The missions range from, "Well, of course..." to "How in the?!..." Players learn problem solving and creative thinking skills, while having tons of fun. This is one of those few children applications I will be keeping on my own device for my own amusement.
Compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
