This app is a blast to play! It is a high-flying adventure, quite literally, where kids learn multiplication on an easy learning curve by helping a feathered friend find his colors.
In Wings, the player moves the device in order to direct a bird towards the correct answer. In the early stages (or per-multiplication section) of the game, the student is prompted to fly his bird toward the bigger number of a set. The numbers are given in a bunch of different ways, but it all starts with Montessori blocks. This helps the student learn to estimate, count and compare quantities by a single glance.
The learning builds from there until the student not only learns multiplication, but can know it, without ever having to think about it. This game drills in the fundamentals of the subject and does not require a student to memorize multiplication tables. Rather, it teaches the basics of the subject so that students know how to multiply.
