Pettson's Inventions Deluxe

By Developer: Filimundus AB

Pettson's Inventions Deluxe is a fun and wacky game that gets you to put on your thinking cap. The app comes with 66 inventions for you to create, of which none are "run of the mill".

With each invention you are taken to a page which tells you your ultimate goal. In the main area you are given some of the parts you need to create your invention. Surrounding this are additional pieces that you will need. Unless changed in the settings, there are additional fake parts, adding a whole new element to the game. Drag the pieces to the main area and put them into their correct locations. You will hear an audible click when this is done and the part will stay in place. Some of these need to be done in the correct order. Visual guides can be turned on in the settings. At any time, you can pull a lever to see what you have done and how far you have come in completing your task. Once all the parts are in place, pull the lever and your invention will perform! As you receive gold stars for winning games new games are unlocked.

As you play the games there are certain things that will repeat themselves, such as a weight that is quite often used to fall on a pig, allowing it to blow out and put things into motion.

I like that it offers help via visual instructions, as well as the option to add in or taking out fake parts, giving the builder more of a challenge. For younger children, you then have the option of excluding these, in order for the level of difficulty to be correct for each individual.

Want to have even more of a challenge? You can play against another in a timed game!
