The Little Witch at School

By Developer: SlimCricket

Featured in the "Best of 2013" category

Whether it is that time of year for ghosts and goblins or not, you child is sure to love this delightful app. It is surrounded by a wonderful little story about a witch that goes on a journey to collect the items she needs for school. During the 25 pages of story (in 3D), one comes across math problems from simple addition to multiplication. Choosing easy, medium, or hard setting allows for and increase in difficulty level and more educational fun. Included in the app are 6 games in math, comprehension skills, finding required letters and additional magical fun.

The app is absolutely beautiful and very engaging. There are loads of items to tap and bring to life. Move the screen with your finger and fully experience the 3D world. The pages are fully animated, as in a cartoon. Even your camera and microphone are employed in the story.

One can have the story read to them, or choose the read to me option. You are tromped to tap the arrow to bring more text onto the page, limiting the amount given at one time. The app was created for children of the ages 4-10. In my opinion, this app is worth every cent, and more!

Compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
