Oceanhouse Media takes Dr. Seuss' “The Lorax” to a whole new level with their interactive rendition, with games galore.
I read many Dr. Seuss books to my children over the years, but never owned a copy of The Lorax. Had I known the book is about taking responsibility for our planet and what can happen when commerce gets in the way of correct environmental decisions, I would have definitely purchased a copy and read it to my kids. The book has very important messages for your children to learn, possibly affecting their decisions not only now, but later on in life.
The Lorax is a character that “speaks for the trees”. The Truffula trees have become a big interest for the Once-ler, who is interested in chopping them down to make merchandise, for very good profit. The problem is that the animals have no more food, the air is so polluted that the birds and fish can't survive. The Once-ler, realizing that his decisions have left the land to waste, has one last seed that he offers to us to regrow the forest and all that it provides for.
The book includes the original story and artwork, all professionally narrated with great background sounds, tappable, movable objects that give their names and sometimes disappear, as well as games galore. Find the hidden stars, which when revealed unlock new games. Some of the games include puzzles, word searches, sequences, memory cards and more.
